You're doing everything "right". So why does it feel like this?
You show up. You get it done. You're the one people call. And then at night, your brain runs your to-do list like a song stuck on repeat.
Maybe it sounds like:
-"I should be further along by now"
-"Why do I keep ending up in the same relationship, just with a different person?"
-"I can't relax until everything's handled, and it's never handled."
-"I'm fine." (You're not fine.)
If you're nodding, nothing's wrong with you. You're carrying patterns that once kept you safe and have quietly overstayed their welcome.
Think of it like a phone with too many apps open
Your phone isn't broken when it starts to lag. It's running a dozen things in the background: old conversations, old expectations, old ways of staying safe. Anxiety and perfectionism work the same way. They keep running long after they stopped being useful.
Therapy isn't about deleting who you are. It's about noticing what's running in the background, closing what's draining you, and keeping what actually serves you.
How I help
I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and my approach is trauma-informed and grounded in research. In plain terms, that means we won't just talk about the problem week after week. We'll work on changing it.
Depending on what you need, our work may include:
EMDR, to help your brain process painful experiences so they stop running the show
Somatic work, because anxiety lives in your body too, not just your thoughts
Evidence-based tools you can actually use between sessions
My practice is named for the way I work: Think. Feel. Act. Understand what's happening, feel it safely instead of fighting it, and take steps toward the life you want.
What I help with
Anxiety & overthinking: when your mind won't clock out
Perfectionism & people-pleasing: when "good enough" never feels like enough
Relational trauma & attachment: when relationships keep following the same painful script
Addiction & high-functioning coping: when the glass of wine, the overworking, or the constant busyness has become its own problem
Hi, I'm Allison
I'm just a girl trying to make it and be happy, which is exactly who I love working with. I know what it's like to look composed on the outside while your mind is running a marathon on the inside.
I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (#144366) with a Master's in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University. In session, I'm calm, real, and on your side. Expect some honesty, some analogies, and probably a laugh or two, because healing doesn't have to feel like a chore.
I work mostly with millennial and Gen Z women, and I welcome adults of every age and gender who are ready to stop just surviving.

What working together looks like
1. Free 15-minute consultation. We'll see if we're a good fit, no pressure.
2. Your first session. We'll map out what's been going on and what you want instead.
3. Ongoing sessions. Weekly, secure video sessions from wherever you're comfortable in California.
